1λ first surface mirrors provide optical quality at an affordable price. Optimized for any angle of reflection and delivers exceptionally high reflectance in the visible spectrum. Choose from 1mm, 2mm, 3mm, and 6mm thicknesses.

λ/4 flatness mirrors are coated on a polished substrate for higher accuracy. Polishing the glass increases the surface flatness substantially, which is noticeable at magnifications of over 15x.

Eigth Wave First Surface Mirror

λ/8 is superior for equipment using a high magnification. Glass is ground down using an increasingly fine grain until it is nearly perfectly smooth. The polished substrate is then coated with enhanced aluminum, a dielectric overcoat, and tested with an interferometer to ensure a superior flatness compared to the λ/4 mirrors.

Chemically Strengthened First Surface Mirror

Chemically hardened first surface mirrors offer superior strength. Often installed in equipment that will be transported, requiring a high durability to prevent breakage. Also used in applications where the mirror could accidentally be broken, to ensure the safety of customers and the general public.

ultraviolet first surface mirrors offer superior reflection in the 10-400nm range.

UV Enhanced FSM offers superior reflection for 10-400nm light. Standard aluminum has a poor reflection in this particular range, so our UV enhanced mirrors are popular for projects utilizing the ultraviolet spectrum.

Shatterproof & easy to cut. Hobby grade reflection for lighting effects. Although acrylic doesn’t offer an optical grade coating, it is often “good enough” for projects that don’t require a high surface flatness such as optical illusions, stage magic, kiosks, commercial displays, and art installations.
